Prefabrication of SKID’s
The technological advancement in buildings is accelerating daily, becoming more complex. To tackle this challenge, we use prefabricated, modularly assembled installation components in our projects. This is known as prefabrication or modular construction methods. Through this innovative approach, we can deliver superior quality, reduce construction time, increase efficiency, promote environmentally friendly building, ensure safety, all while staying within the set budget. Prefabricated construction is not just a trend, but the embodiment of the future of the construction industry!
How does prefabrication of SKID’s work?
When you include Quad Engineering as a construction team partner in your team, we handle the entire process from 3D modeling. realization, transport and we can handle additional support on the construction site.
- We initiate the process with a digital design that is converted into a Building Information Modeling (BIM) construction model. From this BIM model, we create a 3D production drawing.
- The manufacturing is done in our factory in Belgrade, Serbia. The installation components are welded and assembled tAfter the prefab parts are ready they are tested and compared to the BIM Model, including a 3D scan onsite.
- The prefabricated SKID’s are then transported to the construction siteby us.
- If needed we can even supply technical staff to help with the assemblage onsite.
Why SKID prefabrication?
The answer is simple yet multifaceted. By incorporating modular installation SKIDs into your construction projects, you can unlock many benefits that cater to various aspects of your operation. Firstly, the quality of your project significantly enhances. Prefabricated modules are built within a controlled environment, which allows for meticulous attention to detail and rigorous quality control.
Secondly, there’s a substantial reduction in project timelines. With traditional construction methods, delays are frequent due to weather, sourcing of materials, or unexpected complications. However, with prefabrication, many elements are completed simultaneously, such as site preparation and component production, thereby significantly cutting down the construction period.
The third advantage is waste minimization. Traditional construction methods can often lead to overuse of materials and generate significant waste.
Fourthly, you will experience fewer transport movements. The bulk of the construction is carried out off-site, reducing the need for transporting multiple raw materials to and from the site.
The fifth benefit is a safer working environment. With most of the heavy lifting and potentially hazardous work done off-site, the construction site becomes a safer place for workers.
Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, construction projects are more likely to stay within budget. With predictable costs, less waste, and minimized delays, the risk of unexpected financial burdens is significantly reduced.
Experience your cost reduction!
The easiest way to see how we can contribute to your cost reduction is to let us create a shadow calculation on one of your already finished projects. With this calculation you will get insight in how much cost reduction you can realise in productio, transport and realisation. Please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us. We are very confident that we can deliver the same, or better, at a much better price point!
